FormiCast Castable Resin now available

Investment casting or lost wax casting has been around for thousands of years. In the traditional method, a model is first made from wax, then a plaster mold is created around the wax model. This plaster-wax assembly is fired in a kiln to harden the plaster and burned out the wax to create a negative mold that allows parts to be cast.

3D printing is changing the game. This same technique is now being renewed by replacing the wax model with 3D printed parts. With the introduction of lower priced, high quality 3D printers and castable resins, this technique is quickly becoming the gold standard in applications such as jewelry, medical, dental, art, and many other industries that require the translation of complex designs into castable materials.

FormiCast Resin is the latest functional material from Formi 3DP. Compatible with many SLA and DLP printers, this resin is designed specifically for high-resolution investment casting. FormiCast Resin is able to capture very fine details and generate precise master molds ideal for casting. Prints burn out clean with little to no ash or residue.

Jewelers and dentists now have more options and are saving time and money by investing in 3D printing and FormiCast Resin.
