Functional 3D printing of Magnetic Objects for Remote Applications
Magnetically driven micromachines play an essential role in a number of biomedical and other remote control applications. In this study, a magnetically driven robot was fabricated through Formi's i3DP resin system. The magnetic robot was successfully actuated under the rotating magnetic field produced from a permanent magnet. The remote control experiments demonstrate that this initiator-integrated 3D printing (i3DP) is an effective technique for making magnetically driven objects. Once again Formi 3DP standard resin featured on Adafruit 3D Hangouts
Noe and Pedro Ruiz from Adafruit Industries 3D Hangouts have done it again with their latest time-lapse video. In this Timelapse Tuesday project, the Ruiz brothers use Formi Standard 3D printing resin to create a high-poly Bulbasaur. This 3D print was completed on an Ember 3D printer from Autodesk using Formi Standard Clear Resin. Watch the video for full setting details.
Formi 3DP standard resin featured on Adafruit 3D Hangouts with Pedro & Noe Ruiz
Every Tuesday Noe and Pedro Ruiz from Adafruit Industries 3D Hangouts work hard to bring you 3D print designs from the community and showcase 3D printing cases, tips, settings and of course - time-lapse videos! Working with the Ruiz brothers on this project was great and we are thrilled that our Standard 3D printing resin was showcased in this weeks feature time lapse video. This 3D printed incense pagoda was completed on an Ember 3D printer from Autodesk using Formi Standard Clear Resin. Watch the video for full setting details. We look forward to working with Pedro and Noe in...
Media Report: New 3D printing technique to eliminate the need for multiple 3D printers
In this report from 3ders.org they mention how designers may take advantage of the i3DP technique to offer a practical approach in applications where surface properties are critical, such as biomaterials, biomedical, and microfluidics.
